Introducing Vsim, a web-based VEX simulator

The Vsim menu over a simulated VEX field with a robot and game pieces

Not every team has a field. Not every student has a robot at home. Vsim is a VEX simulator that runs entirely in the browser, so practice does not stop when the room is booked or the season is over.

Highlights

  • Web-based. Nothing to install. Open sim.robostem.org and drive.
  • Multiplayer. Share a field with teammates and run full matches together.
  • Programmable. Test autonomous routines against a real physics model before you burn a practice slot.

What is next

We are working on more game fields, a replay tool, and classroom features for coaches. If you teach with it, we want to hear how. The introduction video shows the current build.
